Some of the highlights of this meeting.

  • Tom Alexander of Buckhorn Home Hardware is looking to amend the
    site plan agreement he had with the municipality. Click here for more details.
  • Fire Chief Gord Jopling presented 2017 Annual Report to council on number of calls, Personnel numbers and losses, Fire Prevention and Equipment status. Click here for that report.

  • March 3rd from 12:00 Noon – 1:00 PM: Henderson Recreation Equipment
  • March 10th from 12:00 Noon – 1:00 PM: Savage Arms
  • March 17th from 12:00 Noon – 1:00 PM: The Village Inn Lakefield


Ennismore Community Centre

Children’s Programs – March Break

Friday, March 9th (PA Day)

Location: Lakefield Library

  • LEGO Block Party: Play LEGO to your heart’s content.
    10:30AM to 11:30AM. Ages 4+.
  • LEGO Man Bingo: LEGO themed Bingo with prizes for all.
    1:30PM to 2:30PM. Ages 3+. (Ages 8 & under must attend with an adult)

Tuesday, March 13th

Location: Lakefield Library

  • Fancy Nancy Spa Day: Get ready to pamper and be pampered! You’re invited to join us for spa fun and a yummy treat.
    10:30AM to 11:30AM OR 2:00PM to 3:00PM. Ages 3+.
    Limited Space Available!
    (All children must attend with a participating adult spa buddy)

Wednesday, March 14th

Location: Bridgenorth Library

  • Play Time & Song Circle: Toys, crafts, special exploration centres and a snack followed by a story and song circle in partnership with the Peterborough Family Resource Centre (PFRC).
    10:30AM to 12 Noon. Ages birth to 5.

Thursday, March 15th

Location: Ennismore Library

  • Children’s Concert with Melissa Payne: Great music from an amazing local talent!
    10:30AM to 11:15AM. All ages welcome!
  • STEAM Station: Rotate through our Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math stations. As part of the program, we’ll explore our Button maker, Cubelets, LEGO and green screen.
    1:30PM to 2:30PM. Ages 4+. (Ages 9 & under must attend with an adult) 

Friday, March 16th

Location: Bridgenorth Library

  • Nature Nuts Outdoor Play: Join Craig Brant from Camp Kawartha for outdoor games and nature discovery. Come dressed to be outside in all weather.
    10:30AM to 12 Noon. Ages 6+.

Spring Preschool Storytime

Stories, songs, games and crafts! Program begins the last week of March and runs for 8 weeks. Lakefield Library on Tuesdays & Bridgenorth Library on Wednesdays.
10:30AM to 11:15AM. Ages 3+. Siblings welcome.


Adult Programs

Art Display

The Bridgenorth Library is now inviting local artists to submit samples of their workfor display. Submissions will be accepted until March 30th, and will be reviewed at the end of April. We exhibit two-dimensional framed works, including paintings, drawings, mixed media, photographs and prints. For more information, call the Bridgenorth Library or email Heather to submit the completed Call for Entry form.

Scrabble Club 

Do you love to play Scrabble? Join the club at the Bridgenorth Library on the last Tuesday of the month beginning at 2:00PM. Register in advance by calling the Bridgenorth Library or email Heather.

Technology Workshops

The Bridgenorth library is offering small group workshops (max. 6 participants) on a variety of topics, free of charge. A list of workshop topics, dates and times can be found on the Selwyn Library website. To register, call the Bridgenorth library or email Heidi.
